Band Synopsis:

Etherna is a melodic heavy metal band based in Campana, strongly influenced by Gothic Metal bands like HIM and Charon to even heavier things like In Flames or Tool.

They started in 2002, achieving their most stable formation in 2004 with Mariano Macchi on vocals, Carlos Galazzo on guitar and backing vocals, Jorge Artucio on drums, Nando Pereyra on keyboards and Sofía Recalde on bass and backing vocals.. With this line up, Etherna played in several pubs and festivals sharing stages with a lot of bands from different styles.

The growth of the band resulted in the recording of their first EP entitled “EP 2006” wich was very well received by the audience and the press. On May 2008 Javier Cuello joined the band as a sessionist drummer, due to the departure of Jorge Artucio. Javier is now a permanent member of Etherna.
