1. So, from 1995 until present day, Macbeth has had it's share of line up changes. How would you say the current group is doing?
I think this is a strong line upˇK I must say was very difficult to find serious musicians that really want to work hard to see the band growing step by step ;)
2. With the release of 2005's "Malae Artes" the band seems to be strong, and headed in a positive direction. How has the latest album been recieved from old fans?
Malae Artes - it's always in Macbeth's style but is a step ahead into something more mature.
We wanted to do an album that's really difficult to get you bored as it is really varied, so it is not very important to say if this is a gothic album or not and if is similar to our old album or notˇK I think our audience increased though some but old fans prefer old stuff.
3. So Macbeth hails from the beautiful city of Milan. How is the Metal scene there?
Italy doesn't have a big metal or rock scene, metal is not the main music. It is always in the Underground. There are a lot of good bands and musicians but we don't have support from the media, we're not supported by big media like regular TV.
4. How would you describe your version of Gothic Metal, being that it has a unique sound thats different from other bands of the same genre?
Our music is very aggressive as well and we're not just melancholic, we're not just a gothic metal bandˇKit's hard to choose a musical genre to explain what Macbeth plays.
Our sound comes from a ton of stuff, because our roots are very different, but if you add them the result is Macbeth.
5. Macbeth has played some big shows, with more to come. What are your thoughts on the upcoming Metal Female Voices Fest?
I think MFVF is a very important European festival for Female fronted bands. This is the first time we will play there and this will be a good chance to share our music with an international audience.
6. You recently played a show in Beirut, Lebanon. How was that show?
It was an amazing experience. Our fans are crazy and nice, a huge crowd came to the show.
Guys know all our songs and I must say they appreciated a lot the new stuff too!
I love Lebanon and I hope to go again to Beirut.
7. Is it strange to see the tragic events happening there so soon after you played?
It is really sad to know that all the people we met there are now oppressed by warˇK
We are in touch with few guys in Beirut, and we hope the situation will be better soon.

8. With all the ways the world has changed in the last few years, the terrorist threat, natural disasters etc... Do you think these events draw people closer to dark music or push them away?
It depends, everyone has different likes, so I don't knowˇK
9. With recently freed countries like Iraq and Afganistan, do you think your music would be successful in these areas? What are your thoughts?
Our management said that a few times someone near these areas ask for a gig but no one was really confirmed. Nowit is too dangerous, but maybe in the futureˇK
10.With your fellow Italians Lacuna Coil touring extensively in the United States. Do you think we will see Macbeth any time soon?
I love your country and I hope to play soon in US! Our management is trying to plan a tour and we hope to visit your country to promote our new album out on 2007ˇK
11. Why do you think Gothic music and culture is more popular in Europe than the U.S. ?
I guess it was born hereˇKwe've long tradition of gothic culture and music.
12. What is your favorite part of being in this band?
Working a lot with the band and see audience growingˇK
Also receiveing special treatments because I'm the only woman ;) Yes, I like thatˇK
13. Has work began on the next album, what can you tell us?
Well, we're working on 10 new songs. We'll enter the recording studio in December and I guess the album will be out on next spring. Then we'll work on our first videoclip ;)
14. What do you want fans to get from Macbeth's music?
I hope our music will be the soundtrack of the most beautiful moments in their life ;)
