July brings us a former featured band, Warpath, with their blistering debut album "Damnation". The album was mixed by Kevin Talley (Daath, Chimaira, Hate Eternal) and mastered by the metal icon James Murphy (Testament, Death, Obituary). "Damnation" delivers 8 tracks that raise the bar, setting a new standard for metal. From the first minute I hit the play button, I knew I was hearing something different and special. It's not often I hear a band that manages to pay homage to the roots of thrash, while at the same time showing true innovation and creativity.
Richard Goss and Pete Hawthorne deliver what can only be described as devastating guitar work, while Joel Jordan (Bass and Backing Vocals) and James Davenport (Drums) lay down a thunderous rhythm section that is in perfect time.
"Damnation" is the real deal, no frills, no catches, just the true metal being played the way it was always meant to be. Pure, raw, and in your face!
