Black Metal, pure and simple. This is the album that brought the band to a more well known level. This is not the C of Filth that we hear today, this album is not polished sounding. It is raw and brutal, but contains masterful lyric writing. The vocals are very one-toned. It can get boring, after a couple of tracks. However it is one of those albums for a certain type of mood. You don't just pop this one in on a bright, sunny day.
