After calling it quits with the phenomenal Emperor Ihshan struck out on his own. "After" is his third solo album. Both previous albums have stood to redefine his approach and music in general.
This album takes it to the next level, with this release Ihshan manages to break all the rules by introducing brass instruments. They are not used on only 1 or 2 songs but throughout the entire album.
I didn't know what to make of this approach at first but quickly realized how well it fits. Once again Ihshan has managed to re write all the rules and adds another fine accomplishment to discography.
