Q.
First of all congratulations on Sunless Days! It's a great album! What do you think is the biggest difference between this album and Drama?

A.
Thanks and we are very satisfied ourselves with the new album! The big difference from the previous album Drama is perhaps the more commercial beat in the songs now and better lyrics over all. I really like the album Drama as well, but it's a more experimental album with a larger range of style of the songs, then the songs on Sunless Day's, which are a range of songs more thoughtfully put together.

Q.
So I understand the video for "Innerlane" will br played on MTV and Fusenetworks. Do you think videos are important for bands to make?

A.
Yes I do. It is very important to get your music out there and to have the video rotating on various TV shows and so on will lead to more listener that otherwise wouldn't find your music. Promotion over all is really important, having a good label and booking agency that knows how to work the business is a big key to success. Speaking of "Innerlane", that song gets stuck in my head for days. It sounds alittle different from other Beseech songs. Tell us about how that song was created.

Our new guitarist Manne Engstrom did come up with the heavy beat to that song and Erik wrote the hunting lyrics and together we worked out the melody. It' is one of my favorite songs on the album! It's just a really great song I love to play live! And the video suits the song more than well.

Q.
Are there any other female vocalists you admire?

A.
Yes of course! I have many favorite female vocalists from different genre! To name a few, Alison Krauss, Christina Scabbia, Dinah Washington, Eva Cassidy, Amanda Marshall and many many more!

Q.
With the release of Sunless Days. Are you happy with the bands sound or are there other sounds or styles you would like to incorporate?

A.
As I said earlier, I am very pleased with our newest album, but what I would like to take even further to the next album is the sound and beat of song like Innerlane, Bittersweat Tragedy and Lost. I think those songs have something special and a beat that appeals a lot to me.

Q.
Now a little bit about the members of Beseech. How did you come to join the band?

A.
I joined the band back in 2000, and then already Robert, Mikael, Jonas and Daniel were working together. After me we replaced the former singer Jorgen with Erik and Manne is our newest member. I believe this line-up will last quite some time now. It feels really good and we're enjoying each other's company!

Q.
Do the members of Beseech have other careers besides the band?

A.
There has been and still are a few side projects going on, but nothing bigger then Beseech though. But we all have day jobs, except for Manne who goes to school right now, trying to get a little bit wiser..! Haha We put all our free time on Beseech, which sometimes can be a little hectic! But fun of course!

Q.
How would you feel about playing in the United States?

A.
That is something we have tried to work out for quite some time now. We would really like to get over there and play for our American fans, but as always there are some economical issues to solve before that will be possible. But hopefully it's just a matter of time!

Q.
For many years metal was dominated by men. With so many great females leading bands today , such as yourself. Do you think the females have proved their strength in the scene?

A.
Absolutely, there is a great deal of good and ambitious female singer in this genre now a day. Who will and are a big inspiration to younger girls that will follow in our footsteps. I believe the female singers are here to stay, accompanied or strong on their own!

Q.
Of course being a female in a band can cause you to be recieved differently from some male fans. Have you ever had problems with fans being disrespectful or inappropriate?

A.
Yeah, unfortunately that happens sometimes, but so far not that often to me that it has become a problem. I just try to ignore the worst ones as much as I can and I try to stay together with at least one of the other male band members when we're out playing.

Q.
What is the biggest challenge for you, being in a band?

A.
Hm.. let me think, I can only think of small things like finding the spare time for all seven in the band to get together and rehearse sometimes! Other wise I can't se any problems, we're always having such a great time together!

Q.
In closing. what is one thing fans should know about Beseech?

A.
That we love playing live, hanging out with fans and having fun playing our music!
