1. To begin please introduce yourself, and tell us where you are from.
Hello everybody. My name is Light of Gods and I・m from Spain (Madrid). I・m starting with the music business up here and I just hope you enjoy my music ;o)
2. Your music is described simply as Gothic. Is this a accurate description of your creation?
Well..to be honest I just marked gothic in the description of my music in myspace cos I didn・t find any other label that suited it better. I don・t really know what kind of music I do, I just know that I want to show my true feelings when I sing and that I have a great variety of influences in my musical tastes from rock to metal,opera,soul...so I guess my music is just a mixture of it all....not simply gothic..so sorry if I misleaded you when you read it hehehe
3. You began your performing career dancing, and painting, was this a good experience base for what you are doing now?
Yeah,absolutely so, during my life I have gone through several artistic disciplines that have helped me grow as a person and as an artist too, when I sing live I like to show my feelings deeply,so acting is obviously there,apart from the plain musical notes.Painting is another kind of expression for me and I would like to incorporate dancing in my big performances if i have the chance to play live in big stadiums or in theatres...let・s see how my first cd goes... dreaming is for free ha ha ha
4. Later you took on live acting in such impressive roles as Christine in "The Phantom of the Opera", and Maria in "West Side Story". Did you find yourself more drawn to the singing element?
Yeah,absolutely.When I was a child I just knew I have to act but I hadn・t found my way yet,so after trying dancing,painting and singing I decided singing was my thing.Performing in "the Phantom of the Opera" and "West Side.." I really felt marvelous as I could sing and act at the same time but obviously what I enjoyed most was singing and it was also the easiest part for me.When I sing I feel myself as realeasing my deepest me,I felt totally identified with Christine in the Phantom and her Angel of Music,it was in a way my own story....but I guess it also is for a lot of singers like me...
5. When did you feel the desire to begin creating your own music?
I think I started writing my first song when I was 14 or 15,music and lyrics, but since I was a little child I have been humming and singing my own melodies,melodies that come into my mind and I guess are a mixture of everything i hear and my own feelings.I even have dreams where I hear different melodies worth writing down ,sometimes I remember them an I can record them? but sometimes it・s difficult to remember them when I wake up it・s strange...I guess it・s the way my brains has of letting out stress....it gives me music... weird!!! hahaha.
6. Are you still acting, dancing, or painting in addition to singing?
Yeah I・m currently singing and playing zarauela (spanish operetta) with some theater companies here. And from time to time I paint something if i have time.
7. Are there currently plans for a complete album?
Yes my first demo cd is due in January next year.It will be a pre-release of my first official cd just for testing. It will include 8 pre-produced demos with a high quality of what will be my first album.If this pre-release sells well we will realese one big album next year with 14 new songs.You will be able to get my demo cd throug my myspace profile...so if anyone is interested....;o)
8. Have you performed your music live yet?
Nope, I haven・t performed the material on this comming cd yet but i will have my first concert on the 27th of November in Madrid. I・m excited!
9. What does creating your own music mean to you?
Well, it means a lot. As a I said these songs are a way of expressing my true self,of telling my story, my good and bad moments,but above all of showing light in darkness.
10. What do you hope listeners get from your music?
I just hope they find a way out of worries,I want to show some pieces of my life,some of my beautitul and darkest moments. And I want to show hope,I want everybody to see that we are all humans and we all feel the same,that all of us can be gods and humans at the same time and that all of us have our own light.We can choose light or darkness.Despite all the suffering in my life I decided to chose light i want everybody to know that Life is a precious gift we all have and we must appreciate it and see the bright side of it even in the darkest moments there is a ray of light waiting for you..Thanks to everyone who is supporting me,all my love and light to everyone Hugs!!
