1. I am talking with Francesca and Emanuele from the Italian band Tular. Please introduce the entire band for us.

My name is Francesca Martini and I am the singer of Tular. I started this project with Emanuele Palmieri, our lead guitar.

At the bass Michele Raspanti, bass player for many important underground bands.

Rhythm guitar is Alessandro Iacobellis, bass player for rock and metal bands but become guitarist for his long time friend Emanuele.
At the drums the one that I guess to be the best metal drummer in the world, David Folchitto.

2. For new listeners please describe your music.

Tular is a Female fronted Symphonic Metal band, different from other bands for a sound strongly oriented to Mediterranean atmospheres, flamenco melodies and Italian symphonic choirs in particular. Every song is a little tale about strange situations and fantastic creatures.

The name Tular comes from the ancient Etruscan language and means: borderline. Our tales are in fact from the line between the real world and the world of fantasy and imagination.

3. So the band was started by the two of you. What drew you to play this particular style?

I canˇ¦t explain this, because love canˇ¦t be explained. This music comes from the deep and makes me feel complete be cause I can be sweet and shout, I can be rock and soprano.
I completely agree with her, to me is the sameˇK I can handle the power of distorsion and the majestic sound of a classical orchestra.

4. Francesca you named "Heroes" and "Fallen Angel" as your favorite Tular songs. What is it about these two that you like most?

I love ˇ§Heroesˇ¨ for the melodic power that got inside and that pushes me to sing at full throttle. Fallen angel is a love letter made of power, passion, poetry, anger and melodyˇK I can find many kinds of feelings singing that song.

5.Emanuele I noticed you named "Heroes" as one of your favorite songs as well. Do you feel this song best captures the Tular sound?

I guess ˇ§Heroesˇ¨ is a very good song and I love it very much, but is not so representative of our sound because we set aside a little our symphonic and theatrical components in that song.

6.Tular hail from Roma, Italia, a vibrant city, is there good support for you in this place?

Rome is a vibrant city but for independent bands, not aligned in politics or out of major systems it is very hard. And more: much venues are almost always taken by cover bands.

These difficulties are the reasons why Francesca and I are very proud of thisˇK man ,we are talking to you and this is a true victory for a roman symphonic metal band, because it means that weˇ¦ve done a good job. We have lots of friends and fans from all over the world but a few people can reach our music from our town.

7. Have you had a chance to play any shows outside of Italy ?

Yes! We are going to have an interesting autumn: France , Spain , Sweden and United Kingdom are almost defined. Knock on wood for us.

?8. Tell us about your debut album. What can we expect from it?

You can expect to listen it 4 or 5 times in repeat mode and never get tired.

Yes, itˇ¦s true, it happened to me during a trip by carˇK may
be this because there are 12 really different songs with our unique sound.

?9. What is the next big goal for Tular after the album?

A dozen of Grammies lol (a joke of course)
A great gig in a special placeˇK there are some legendary venues, personally Iˇ¦d like to make my show there

?10. Where can fans get Tular merchandise?

We have lots of good stuffs reachable from our My Space profile or our official website
